When do ticket sales close?
The cut-off time for buying tickets is 7:08pm on the night of the drawing. Sales will then resume for the next drawing.
How do I play Lotto 47?
Lotto 47 is really easy and quick to play. You just need to select six numbers from 1 to 47. You can pick up a playslip from any Michigan Lottery retailer. Head over to the How to Play page for more details about entering the game.

How many consecutive drawings can I enter?
You can play up to 60 consecutive drawings. Mark your choice in the multiple draw wagers area.
Can I replay a previous ticket?
Yes, you can replay a previous ticket within 31 days of the original purchase. All of the selections from the original entry, including the numbers you selected and how many draws you played, will be reprinted.
How much does it cost to play?
It costs $1 per play to enter Lotto 47.
How many numbers do I need to win Lotto 47?
To win the jackpot, all six of your numbers must be the same as the six winning numbers. However, you can also win prizes for matching fewer numbers. Match at least three numbers and you will receive a payout. Go to the Prizes page to see all the payouts that are on offer.
What is the minimum jackpot?
The jackpot starts at $1 million and rolls over if it is not won. It can keep growing until someone matches all six numbers.
What is the biggest jackpot ever won on Lotto 47?
The record for the largest Lotto 47 jackpot is $32.2 million. It was split between two tickets, one sold in Lake Odessa and one in Ferndale. Go to the Winners page for more information about the biggest payouts.
What are the odds of winning?
The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 10,737,573. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 47.
What is Double Play?
Double Play is a game that you can add on to Lotto 47 for an extra $1 per play. Your numbers from the main game will be entered into this separate draw and you can win prizes that are worth twice as much as in Lotto 47. Go to the Double Play page for more information.
How does EZmatch work?
EZmatch is an instant-win game which you can play by selecting the option on your playslip and paying an additional $1 per entry. Random numbers are printed on the lower portion of your ticket, alongside a cash value. If any of the numbers you selected for the draw are the same as the EZmatch numbers that have been generated, you win the corresponding prize.
How long do I have to claim any Lotto 47 prizes?
You have one year from the date of the draw to claim any prizes you win on Lotto 47. Go to the How to Claim page to find out what you need to do if you win, depending on the value of your prize.
Can I stay anonymous if I win?
Yes, you are allowed to stay anonymous if you win an in-state game such as Lotto 47. You must provide your consent before the Michigan Lottery can disclose your identity.
Will my prize be taxed?
Prizes below $5,000 are not subject to tax. Above this amount, there is a federal withholding of 24 percent and a state tax of 4.25 percent.
What is the minimum age to take part?
You must be at least 18 years old to buy a ticket.
